Base Camp | Headed North

We’re going international…

Last summer, we hosted our first international Base Camp in the French Countryside—and the experience was unforgettable. Surrounded by empty fields of nature, creativity, and a diverse group of storytellers, something clicked. We realized that taking Creator Camp abroad wasn’t just inspiring—it was essential.

This summer, we’re doing it again—this time in the Nordic wonderland of Sweden, just outside of Stockholm and not far from the headquarters of our friends and partners at Epidemic Sound.

We’re excited to bring Base Camp to a place where nature and culture collide—long summer nights, forest lakes, and the perfect space to slow down, connect, and create. Whether you’re scoring a film in the woods or storyboarding with new collaborators under the midnight sun, we believe this trip will leave a lasting mark.

We hope you’ll join us for a week of deep creative exploration, global connection, and a new chapter of Creator Camp history. 🇸🇪✨

A Brief History Lesson

Rånäs Manor, located in Uppland, Sweden, near Lake Skedviken, is a historic gem with over 200 years of history, making it an inspiring venue for Creator Camp’s Base Camp event. Originally a Walloon ironworks in the 18th century, the estate produced 1,500 ship pounds of bar iron annually, supported by grain fields and forests for coal. Workers’ families lived in nearby houses, often in lifelong roles, reflecting the era’s feudal structure.

In the 1850s, the Reuterskiöld family demolished the original 17th-century manor to build the current Rånäs Manor then in 1996, private owners restored it, reopening in 1998 as a hotel and conference center with 50 rooms, a spa, and modern amenities, preserving its historical charm.
